The-reef has been driven on.for 3000 feet, afld is from three to ten feet wide. Tho depth, h&V been'.proved to 450 feet for th« whole length .of the reef, and it is going down strong underfoot,, which augers well for its .permanency.-It is calculated that ore to last three years at least, is in , sight over ■' No. 3 level alone. It is intended to carry out further sinking immediately, so that similar-quan-■tiHes-ef ore reserves shall always bo maintained ahead of mill requirements. -The property is equipped with.Bo head of stampers, and the rednotion works are stated to be the most complete; and r modern:, gold-saving : plant in the Dominion. .The present output will be largely jnoreased directly the- tube mill is completed. The present.mpnthly, output is valued at .equal to lldwt. or «s. per ton.. The working expenses ;are roughly. 3Jdwt. ■ or 14s. per ton leaving a net profit of £{000 per month.
