J; Mayers and tie boys I to Maaterton and Palraerston North (where Her Excellency Latfy Plunket. attended the meeting) created/ great .interest, and the crowded audiences gave ample evidence of the 'popularity-both of the work 'and the meetings now being, held 'in its support.- The farewdl meeting in the Wellington Town Hall on Monday next will have some features of great novelty and; attractiveness. The moving pietares, ; which 'will .be exhibited, ' are' quite out of : the ordinary , run of such thjhga. They are the sumo as shown to andienoes of 7000 people ii the Royal Albert Hall, 'London, and "comprise Dr. Barnardb' receiving a IlOyal Princess at:'the Village Home; the girls ,at drill, 'in maypole dance, coming from school, and making Christmas puddings; ■ the boys at their trttdes; naval ladsiat gun drill, and rooket lifesaving practice; the babies being,received and rocked 'in their .cradles; the,emigrants, departing for Canadian homes,, etc.',' etc. These, and other scenes, are of great interest! and have given delight wherever 1 shown. The musical programme'will, be full of' attractions, 'and the Highland pipers should be a great draw. The magnitude and goodness of the work'is, however,' the ohief, magnet, and many will doubtless avail themselves of this opportunity of helping it, and at tho same time, having an evening of rare (enjoyment. . , .- i
