Leicestershire was not resumed to-day till 10 minutes to 4, and tho game was stopped by further rain at 5 minutes to 6. The wicket was soft. Macartney and Ransford continued the Australians' innings. Tho former was dismissed without adding to his ovornight score, and the latter was caught after he liad increased his total by 4. Cotter was tho only batsman to scoro freely. Ho had a meteoric innings', lasting ton minutes, during which ho scored ' 35 runs, including three sixes and three fourers. The fifth wicket fell for 107. The following are.tho scores:— " LEICESTER.
