Of ten objections hoard oh Monday, eight were sustained, and reductions mado by tho Court. At tho request of tho Government representatives, the Court considered to-day tho valuation of several important Tay Street properties, and reductions woro ordered;' This indicated that, in tho opinion of tho Court, the general level of valuations was too high, and that probably redactions would bo mado in most of tho cases remaining. 'Mr. Dugdale'. (the valuer) stated that owing to the reductions' ; mado ho would recommend a revision, and asked for an adjournment in order that ho might communicato with tho Valuer- General. If tho Court' adjourned, ho would ask his chief for a reconsideration of the proportica of all those who did not appear, .'as it would be mamfostly unfair to reduce tho values of tuoso wlh> camo .forward and leavo tho pro. portics of those who did not come forward, ai' ttioy woro.at present. It was contended for tho appol« lant that tho by-law was bad in that it wai not made in accordance with the Motor.
