The return of patients at.the hospital for": the fortnight" ending May 31 showed that: there were 96 males and 80 females in the - , institution, a total of 176, as compared with . i 220 for tho corresponding period of. 1908. Victoria Hospital—2o malos and 18 females; Seddon Hospital—l3'males and 6 females; grand total; 233, as against 274 for tne oor- ' : responding fortnight of last year. ..';,■ j The statement of receipts and expenditure i showed that for the fortnight tho rents came ■ ' to £247 17s. sd.,'as compared with £61 16s. j lOd. for tho previous fortnight and £82 15s. ■,- j for tho corresponding period of 190 S. The ■ amount received from .out-patients was £14 ! 165., as against £11 10s. for the previous j fortnight and £15 4s. for tho samo period of j 1908. The sum received from in-patients was . ; £78 18s.
