A NOTE IN A BUTTER BOX.
'AND THE SEQUEL.' In packing a box of buttor at tho New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union's factory in Palmerston North last season (says our Palmerston correspondent) one of the employees .placed a note in the box asking the person who opened it to write condition in _which the butter arrived Homo, and the price it brought. A reply has been, received stating,that the butter.reached England in splendid condition, tho flavour being tie best that could bo obtained. The retail price at .which it , was sold was Is. 2d. per lb. The writer asked (fiat a photo, of the Dairy Union's Paimerston factory be forwarded to him. The butter refer rod. to was purchased by the management of tho' International Stores, Odiha, Hants, England.. . ,
