Yesterday afternoon Mrs. Brandon entertained a large t'nunibeiv of guests at a'tea which she gavo for Mrs.' Arthur l'earc'e, who returned from. England on Wednesday with her. two daughters/ .There were chrysanthemums in tho drawing-room, and the tea-table was charmingly decorated with chrysanthemums and violets. .Mrs-Brandon received in a' frock of black and white striped ninon and Miss Brandon, was in white' silk;... Mrs'' ArUiur' i Pearco'' i wpre' ; a,pale' green costume trimmed with lace, and hat to' match;' Miss Pearco_ and her, sister -wore : ; powder blue direetoire coats' and. skirts, and, hats trimmed with bluo'of the'samo shade). Mi's. Elgaj black cost'umo, with black fox. furs; Mrs. j! Duncan} black gown with sealskin ooat, ,and white bonnet"with roses;. Mrs.. O'Connor, grey, coat and skirt; Mrs.' vWaltor Hislop, powder blue.costume, .with black hat; Mrs.:.A.
