A CABMAN'S STORY.

Hugh Miller, tho cab-driver who alleged he was the victim of a daring highway robbery last Saturday night, gave the police a signed statement confirming the report of the occurrence published in Tuesday's issue of Tnis Dominion, and entering into much fuller details. Detective Butler instituted close inquiries, with the result that ho traced evidence which made him doubt tho whole story, t'ho detectivo again sought Afillor, and, after considerable cross-examination, ho confronted him with facts which forced tho admission that tho'tale was untrue. "I am" half off my head with troublo," was tho only explanation he made.
