THE SCOW ECHO ASHORE.
Yesterday morning the Acting-Secretary. of the Post Office (Mr. W. B. Morris) received the following telegram from . the postmaster at Karaniea:—"Scow Echo went ashore yesterday on south side Karamoa Eiver. Crew safe." The scow Echo is an auxiliary vessel of 99 tons register, and is owned by the Karamea Sfcoara Ship Company, and Captain Flotoher is in command.. She is usually engagod in the West Coast timber trade. •
