UNION PARLIAMENT.
The annual. .meeting of the Union Parliament mil be hold in the Y.M,C.A.HaII, Willis Street, on Tuesday evening. Tho objects of the Union Parliament are .to debate mattors of general and local politics, and other matters of general public interest. The dobates are conducted under, the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives, varied as the special circumstances require. The Parliament meets on nlternato Tuosdaysat tho'Y.M.C.A. Hall, and tho general public is invited, 'Membership is subject to no. restriction whatever. Everyone, whether b, member-of any of the societies affiliated to tho Wellington. Literary and Debating Societies' Union or a non-mem-ber, is eligible to join. Taken altogether, tho union offers a valuable training grouna lor all who nro desirous of entering public life. For others, not bo desirous, tho' Parliament affords an excellent moana of instruction and information upon publio questions, nnd ■ tke practical duties and ideals of truo citizenship.
