The sample arrived in good condition but'was not up'to the high standard of •tke_ frozen beef sent by Now, Zealand: "Of tho 409,732 tons of produce dealt within tho _ meat, poultry, and provision sections during the year, 88,2C2 tons, or 215 per cent, wcrp. bred and slaughtered, in the United Kingdom; 5-1,601 tons, or 13 4 n or cent., raised and fattened in the Dominion of Canada and the United States of America but slaughtered in tho United Kingdom'-and-260,773 tons, or 65.1 per cent., colonial' American, and other foreign productions."
