, :The Missions toSeamen Institute was well nilea Jjy ;an appreciative audience last-even-in, when Mr. James Moore, the missioner, delivered ks weekly ambulance lccture. He ;dealt chiefly with bandaging fractured limbs and burns,; and also gave several useful hints referring to health matters. Competitions in connection with rescuing an unconscious man from a shaft full of poisonous gases, and a dislocated shoulder, were won by sailors from slaps m p or t. n enjoyable programme of music was provided by Miss Picot, the'following contributing items:—Misses Picot, Evensen, and Mr. .Warren. Miss. Picot presided at the piano, Ine performers were accorded a hearty voto of thanks at the conclusion of the meeting-
