The Taluno left for Barotonga on her return at 1.26 p.m. on May 1, and met with a light southerly wind till arrival at Barotonga at 2.55 p.m. on May 3.- Fruit cargo was worked, and the voyago to Wellington resumed at 4,48 p.m. on May 4. Moderate to frosh southerly breozes wore met with until the morning of May U, thonce a south-west heavy sea, and thiok rainy woather prevailed till arrival in the stream on Tuesday night. Imports by tha Taluno were as follow:—120 bunches, 2592 cases, and 21 kits bananas, 3334 cases oranges, 2138 packs copra, 18 bales cotton, 3 buudles becho do mer,-5 sacks fungus, 3 sacks seed, 85 packages,'oils, paints, etc.; 70 casks lubri* eating oil, 106 cases periodicals, 40 packages sundries, 140 cases M.0.P.. shell, 95 rolls roofing paper, 2 packages honey, 4 cases vanilla. H. Brown, of Auckland, has been accepted for building the new steamor for the Patea-Welling-ton trade. Tho dimensions'are IOMt. long by 20ft. beam, with ■ cargo capacity of 110 tons on Bft. draught. The engines are to bo 200-h.p.i and the vessel will bo built on tho lines of the Kfripaka. It; is understood that the: price was in the neighbourhood of ■ £6000. '■
