A caso of interest to insurers against firo as well as to insuranco oompames was decided at the' Magistrate's Court this afternoon by Mr , H AY. Bishop, S.M. T. Dixou claimed £100 from the Australian; Allianco Assuranco Company, value of a policy over n building situated in- Montreal Street; which was destroyed by iiro on January 3. Subseguontly it was rented to Chinamen, who earned on a laundry business, and daring their toiianoy it was:d<*stroyed.': Tbo : insniinco- company was not notified of tho alteration, or they would have increased the premiums, as a ' laundry, ,ir their opinion, was ■a. hazardous' risk.
