Sentences havo been passod in the bomt conspiracy case, in which Arabindo Ghose (wh< was found not guilty in April), his brother Barendra Kumar Ghoso (who confessed) Dutt, and other natives were charged witl conspiracy and-sedition. ' Barendra Kumar Ghoso and. Dutt (who pro pared the bombs) were sentenced to death Some others wore sentenced to transportatioi for life or imprisonment ranging from one t< ten years. Arabindo Ghose and the rest o: the .accused were acquitted. The Judge held that Barendra Kumw Ghose's confession had linked up the Muz zaffapur bomb outrage (whicji caused thi death of Mrs. and Miss Kennedy) and thi attempts on the life of Sir A. Fraser (Lieu tenant-Governor of Bengal) and the Mayo; of Chardarnagar with a'conspiracy for col looting arms, carrying out military drill, am making bombs with a . wide fire-zono foi street fighting—all of which indicated an in tentio'n to wage war against tho King.
