ANNUAL COMMUNICATION. AT NEW PLYMOUTH, (DT TBCBGBArn—riIESS ASSOCIATION,) ' , New P|ymouth, May 5. TIIO annual communication o f tho Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand was opened this afternoon at tho Theatre Royal. His Excollenoy tho Governor, as Grand Master of the Order, presided, and there was a largo attendanco of representatives from all parts of tho Poniinion. GRANTS AND ANNUITIES. Tho roport of tho Board of, Beneyojcnco showed that grants tad been mado during the year to the amount pf £220, besides sums 1 raised as tho result of circular appeals. Tho Board of Management of tho Widows' and ' Orphans' and Aged Masons' Fund reported that tlje amount spoilt for the year on ■annuities was'£-J2Q, and tho,capital yaluo of tho fund was now £11,866—an increase for tho year of £2901. Tho present income of t]io fund leayos a margin of £60 per annum for tho creation of now annuities. The proposal for the oreation of a new district in the northern part of Wellington province was reported without rooommonda-' tjon. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
