Willis, who was a leading figure- in the late Crick-Willis land scandals, was found stabbed in some scrub near Raadwick racecourse about midnight, Tho affair .only leaked out t-hia afternoon. . . ~ . Willis is alive, but is unconscious. Ho has reoeived two wounds in the left breast. Clark, trainer for Willis, states that W|llis was at his (Clark's) cottage last, night,- and left there at a v late hour in cheerful spirits. Ho was found later ,by a stable hand ■Uα was conveyed to the cottage. Foul play was not suspected by, those at the cottage, s and medical aid wae . not nonsidered. necessary, till later, when Willis became delirious. Then it was discovered 'hut he had been stabbed, c. -. .- , . The affair is mysterious.
