The matter of the Deans Memorial was again brought forward by a letter from Christchurch. It;was decided to. request clubs with:lists in hand to send them in at once. .
Tho .Wellington College Old ; Boys' Club, which originally entered four teams' for the: championships, asked for permission to withdraw their .third-class team and still retain' v the fourth. The request was granted. •■■■'■■ : A* letter was received from the secretary of the Sslwyn Club denying a reported statement that the'club had written to the union, stating that two certain senior players were going to play for the Kia OraClub. The Selwyn seo'retary stated that ho had nothing'to do with the letter, and was! very much, surprisedw'hon he heard that his name had been signed to it; It was decided to.inform (he secretary of'(ho Selwyn Chib that he could inspect thb letter at the union's; office. •;•:■;.,
Tho Kia Ora Club nskeckthat Messrs. lioid ,'and'Tannahill Ijo classified as juniors. Tho general opinion was favourable, to classifying Tannahill as a junior, but there was some opposition to rating Reid in the same grado.After some discussion,, it whs decided to allow both Eeid and Tannahill to play as' juniors', during tho ploasuro of the 'committee.' ■~ Messrs: ■]3rowii, ; l>erry, and Burns : were an. pointed a committee to wiiit oh -the trustees ■of,tho Athletic.
