Arnold, Collett ' Kennedy, Larkin, Rigg,. and Rodger- retired from the committee for various. reasons, and the '.committee desires to place on - record iva thanks to Messrs. Arnold, Collett, and Rodger, in 'particular for valaiible , rendered! -Nominations for the hew committee were called for .in Accordance' with the rules; As a consequence tho following constitute the committee forHhej ensuing year:—Messrs. Jones (Printing), Q. , Uren. (Customs), Q; ■A. Cormack (Electoral), H. J, Barr (Tourist), J W. Collins (Labour). T. ; Creedon (Prisons)," It. Keenan' (Lands), T. D. Kendall (Public Trust), H. J. Hawthorn, (Treasury), F. W.' Barnett' (Valuation), and P. J. ~Moran (Roads). - The "membership of: the branch now, as at March 31, 1009, stands at ' 413, being an increase of 201 for; thevyear; which must be. considered .encourhgin*. -During tho year, eight members : resigned, eloren left tho service,' and thirteen - r wcre, transferred .to other districts. In conclusion,, tho committee looks forward with confidence to tho future, of the association; and ■trusts that the incoming"' will meet with every success in its: efforts." '-
