"HISSED OFF THE STAGE,
DU MATJRIER'S PLAY IN BERLIN. (BTTELEORAI'H—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COI'TRIGHT.) (Reo. April 12, 10.5 p.m.) Constantinople, April 12. The production of a Gorman version of "An Englishman's Home" in Berlin ended in confusion. The players were hissed off the stage. ENTHUSIASM IN SYDNEY. (Reo. April 13, 0.20 a.m.) Sydney, April 12. The production of "An Englishman's Homo" lias evoked tremendous interest, crowds waiting at tho doors for seven hours. The scenes in the play are thrilling. Critics consider tho representation of tho British Army, ae being more of a travesty than a satire. A feature of the audiences is the marked attendance of non-theatre goers. [The play, wiitten by Major Du Mcurier, is intended to rouso Britain to the German.peril, and to impress on Britons in a realistic way the horrors of a Continental invasion. Its recoption in Berlin might have been anticipated by the opposition already offered by the German press to its production in that country.]
