Mails for dispatch by steamers on that day will close on Thursday, April 8, at 8 p.m. Mails for early morning. trains only will close at usual time on Good Friday. A delivery of letters, etc., by letter carriers will take place over the public counter, Chief Post- Office, between the hours of 8 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, and Saturday, April 10. On Saturday, April 10, letter carriers will make two full deliveries, but on Easter Monday there, will bo ho delivery. i Monday. April 12 (Easter Monday), tho Post Office will be open in all its branches (except Money Order and Savings Bank) between the hours of 9 and'lo a.m. Mails by early trains only will close as usual, but all mails by steamers will close at 8 a,m. ' The next best dispatch- for United States of America and Canada will be via Vancouver, closing at Wellington, 'per Main Trunk line, on Tuesday, April 13, at 10.20 a.m. Mails for Auckland will close at the Chief Post Office daily, via Manawatu and Main Trunk lines, at 10.45 .a.m., lata fee 11 a.m., mail van 11.45 a.m. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within tho Dominion must be posted half an hour before tho ordinary letter mail closes.
