9 WADESTOWN WIN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. Tho final stage in tho junior championship contest was completed on Saturday, when Wadestown defeated Victoria College, by 155 runs. Tho game, which had been in progress for two Saturdays, was resumed with Victoria College in a bad way. Wicket after wicket went down with only single figures addod to tho score. Tho last two bafsmen, R. C. Niven and Griffiths, wero tho only ones to make a stand. Griffiths, who played well and confidently, was responsible for tho top score of the innings. A match was played on Saturday between teams from Tho Terrace and Courtenay Place Congregational Churches, and was won by tho former by 17 runs. Tho scores were [—Courtenay Place, 73 (Reynolds 22, M 7. Alexander 17); Terrace, 56 (Robinson 21, Dakin 15). Henderson and Williamson bowled best for the winners, as did Robinson and Dakin for the losers. AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (nr TELEGEArn—pbess ASSOCIATION.} Auckland, April 4. Tho final round of tho Auckland Cricket Association's district championship was concluded yesterday. The weather was fine but dull, and the wickets were generally soft. Tho results in tho senior grade were as follow:— Ponsonby v. Eden Colts.—Ponsonby, first innings, 333: Eden Colts, 171 (Hines 37.. Williams, not out, 3G, Gordon 20); Ponsonby won .by IG2 runs. North Shore v. Eden A.—North Shore, 142; Eden A, six wickets for 230 (Mills, not out 80, Smith 73). University v. City.—University Gl and 57; City, 116 and three for no wickets; University won by ten wickets. Parnell v. Grafton—Parnell, 131; Grafton, 79. Fairbnrn, for Parnell, took five wickets for 40.
