1 . FURTHER CONGRATULATIONS. (nv TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchurcll, April 1. The secretary of tho Lyttelton Harbour Board has addressed tho following letter to Lieutenant Shackleton: I am .directed by the chairman of tho Lyttelton Harbour Board to convey to you the following resolution, passed at a committee meeting this afternoon: "That the Lyttelton Harbour Board desires to-day, at its first opportunity after tho arrival of tho Nimrod expedition, to convey to Lieutenant Shackleton, his officers and mon, its heartiest congratulations on tho wonderful results of their expedition to tho Antarctic, its high sense of the heroic manner in which the expedition has been conducted, and its pleastiro at tho safo return of all those who took part in it; that the Lyttelton Harbour Board 'desires to convey to Lieutenant Shackleton its wish to entertain tho members of tho expedition at some social function, tho date of which they leavo to liiin to fix." Tho date of the lecture on tho work of the Nimrod's Antarctic exploration expedition, to be given by Lieutenant Shackleton at His Majesty's Theatre, has been fixed for Wednesday evening next.
