Tlio principal classes in these contests arc- the following:— Box of factory butter for export; prizes total £50, with gold medal to tlio maker. Box of factory butter for export, open to exhibitors who havo not previously won a prize of £5; prizes total £12. • Factory butter open to managers who havo not previously exhibited; prizes total £12. Factory butter from bulk (two boxes selected at random at grading stqres); prizes total £22, in addition to gold medal to maker, and tlio New Zealand and Shaw-Savil] Shipping Companies' challengo cup, value £26 ss. Tho butter championship, with £10 in prizes. Chceso championship and five other classes, with liberal prize money, gold medals, and a challougo cup of tho shipping companies. ' . The prizo money in these classes, apart from tho trophies, totals £162, Tho applo class for tho championship of Now Zealand is a new fcaturo that is likely to attract considerable attention. Tho Royal Horticultural Socioty's medal (of London) and £10 go with this class. Tho £30 shield of Mr. S. AY. Luxford, for tho best collection of farm roots, will be one of tho pearls of tho show.
