A lecture on "Pianoforte-Playing" and pianoforte recital is to be given by Madame Elderhorst, of London, in tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, on Tuesdays Madame Elderhorst has just finished a series of lectures in '.ho South Island, which have proved very sucjessful. The lady is a judge of .piano-playing 'or the Royal Academy of London, and has jlsoinade a speciality of the memorising of music, and the correction of mechanical playing. Special concessions in prices will be given 10 students. The box plan is at the Dresden. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will continue She sale of Rash and Gooder's stock to-day at 11 a.m., and sell all day. Thev will sell Mr. Win. Gill's furniture at No. 100 Abel Smith Street on Monday at 1.30, aud the furniture of Mr. J. C. M'Kerrow at No. 63 Murphy Street on Tuesday at 1.80. Catalogues are now ready. Oh Wednesday at 1.30 they will vdl in their rooms, and also Mr. C. 11. Harris's superior household furniture, at Hataitai, at 1.30, and the furniture will be on view on Tuesday afternoon. On Thursday, Apri! 1, at 1.30, the same firm will dispose of Mr. Frank Higgott's * furniture and piano at Trentham.
