NATIVAE LAND CASES.

Tlio judgments of Mr. Juatico Edwards in three important Native land cases, which wero argued in Banco in the Supremo Court in February, were received by the Registrar to-day. Tho two most important cases havereference to the taking by the Government of a piece of land in Waiotapn district, '20 miles from Eotorua, and of i'i acres at Okero Falls, Rotorua, under the Public Works Act. His Honour holds that the Government's action in taking ihoso lands was invalid. The Government, it might be explained, has built an electric power station, for tho lighting of Rotorua, upon the Okero Falls land. In tho third case, tho contention that thero is right of appeal from tho' Native Laud Court sitting as Conrnensation Court, is affirmed,
