AUCKLAND TO BLUFF.

ACCELERATED TRAIN SERVICE.

Express train, services between Auckland and Invercargill will be accelerated as from April 1. The present timo, of 15 hours 5 minutes, taken by the 8 a.m. express from Christchurch to Invercargill, will be reduced, by the deletion of a dozen stoppingplaced, to 13 hours, 10 ntinuteS. Tho train will reach Dunedin at i p.p. (instead of 5.8) and Invercargill at 0.30 p.m. The express leaving Invercargill at 6.15 a.m. will reach Dunedin at 11.15 a.m., and Christchurch at 7.27 p.m. On. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, tho express train from tho South will bo ablo to connect at Lyttelton with tho Maori for Wellington, but the Mararoa, which makes the passage on tho other three days, must leave before the Invercargill express arrives in order to .connect with the North Island express. The only connection, therefore, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, will be between tho steamer ,for Wellington and tho 8 a.m. train from,. Dunedin.

_ The present 7.50 a.m. express from Wellington to New Plymouth will leave Wellington, from April 1, at 8.15 a.m., reaching New Plymouth at 8 p.m., as nt present. The deletion of a few small stopping-places will enable this to be done.
