Tho vacancy in tho Swinoy .Lectureship on Geology has been filled by the appointment of Dr. T. J. Jehu, Lecturer on Geology in University College, Dundee, for a term of two years. Tho lectureship was founded in tho year 1840, under tho will of Dr. George Swinoy, and is under tho control of tho trusteos of the British Museum, by whom the lecturer is appointed.
