AUTUMN SHOW AT OTAKI.
Tho autumn show of the Horowhcnua Industrial and Horticultural Society opened ill tho Town Hall, Otaki, yesterday afternoon, whon tho doors opened to ono of tho' ])rottiest displays over held in tho district. Tho pot plants and cut blooms (says our Otaki correspondent) aro perfect, and the blending of the colours is greatly admired. Tho fruit exhibits aro considered tho best yet shown, and tho exhibits of visiting nurserymen havo helped largely to make tho display what it is. Tho domestic class is also above tho ordinary, but tho decorative class is weaker than in previous years. The principal prize-winners aro:—ln cut blooms, Mr. 'Frank Mason, of Palmerston North; fruit, Messrs. Elder, Simcox, and Sawyer; domestic class, Mrs. Richard Bevan; vegetables, Messrs. Powell, Elder, Judd, Harper and Broadway; pot plants, Mcsdames Byron Brown, St. George, and Jennings.
