SETS BELLS RINGING. (BY TELEtiBAPU—I'IIF.SS ASSOCIATION.) Coro, March 23. Two severe earthquake shocks were ox« perienced here at 9.38 a.m., extending over about four seconds. Tlio shocks wcro so violent that they sounded the town clock chimes, and caused brick buildings to sway about in an alarming manner', and caused pedestrians in the No-Liconso town, to wonder what unaccustomed weakness had overtaken their legs. Oamaru, March 23. A sharp shock of earthquake was folt at 9.30 this morning. Invcrcargill, March 23. An earthquake of nbout live seconds' duration occurred at 9.40 a.m. Dunodln, March ?.3. Thero was a smart shock of earthquake at 9.35 a.m.—two distinct waves—the direction being from east to west.
