: PETONE ASSOCIATION CI.UB. The second annual meeting of Petono Association Football Club was held on Thursday evening. Xlr. H Itenni was in tho chnir, and thero was an attendance of about forty members. Tho annual, report stated that, teams had been entered for the senior, third, and fourth grades, and although unsuccessful* hi annexing championship honours, had the distinction ot being runners-up in both championship, and Charity Cup competitions in tho third ana fourth 'divisions. The senior team had not been so successful, but the performance of tho team' had shown marked superiority over tho new teams playing in this division. Iho of matches was:—Senior-division: Played, 13; won, 3; lost, 9; drawn, 1; goals for H; goals against, 2G., Third division: Played, 9; won, 4; lost, 4; drawn, 1; goals for, 8; against. 11. Fourth division: Played, 10; won, 7; lost, 2; drawn, 1; goals for, 20; against, G. Tho year had been a profitable one financially, and it was anticipated that at tho end or the connrig season the club would be on a satisfactory footing.
