HOCKEY.
f VIVIAN CLUB. The seventh annual report of tho Vivian Hockey Club compliments members on last season's achievements. The senior eleven, succeeded in defeating all other teams but twoone being the champion Uniteds, and tho other was Victoria College, with which team a draw was played. The number of matches played was 14, of which 6 were won, 7 lost, and 1 drawn; goals, for 40, against 31. This is in favourablo contrast to the previous season's record, when victory was only gained once, and eight games were lost; the scores being 21 foals to tho opponents' 65. The second eleven, owing to the promotion of its best players, was not as successful as it usually is. Fourteen matches were played, i won, 8 lost, and 2 drawn; goals, for 33, against GO.
