NON-UNIONIST QUESTION SETTLED. (nv teleuhai'u— puess association—coi'viuoht.) (Rcc. March 18, 11.13 p.m.) Sydney, March 18. A meeting of tlio Amalsamated Miners' Association has endorsed the action of the combined unions over the Junction North settlement. A stubborn minority fought hard in favour of adopting extreme measures, but was outvoted. ' [Under the Junction North mine settlement the combined unions undertook not to interfere with any non-unionists employed on the Barrier mines. As a consequence, trouble threatened between the Amalgamated Miners' Association and the combined unions of the Barrier over the latter's action regarding non-unionists. A section of the men claimed that they had been sold on tho non-unionist question.! MINERS GIVEN COSTS., (Rec. March 18, 11.13 p.m.) Molbpurno, March 18. Mr. Justice Higgins (President of the Federal Arbitration Court), in settling tho details of tho Broken Hill arbitration award, gave tho claimant minors all costs and expenses involved in tho inquiry as between party and party.
