A FIGHT AND ITS CONSEQUENCE
(nr telegraph—runss association.) Naplor, March 18. A fight, having rather serious results, occurred on the Park Racecourso yesterday. A man named John flibby, well-known in connection with a buck-jumping show, is alleged to have quarrelled with a Maori named Joe Tareha. A stand-up fight resulted in Bibby receiving a blow in the region of • tho heart, which rendered him unconscious. Ho was removed to the hospital, where he still lies in an unconscious state. Tareha was arrested 'and charged in court to-day with unlawfully assaulting Bibby, and causing him actual bodily harm. Accused was remanded till to-morrow. Bail was refused.
