AT THE BASI.N EESERYE. ■ The fifth annual sports meeting of the Wellington bank officers was held at the Basin Reserve yesterday afternoon, in the presence of about. 100$ spectators! The weather looked threatening in the morning! but. as it proved, the committee acted wisely in (jeterraining tp go on .with the gathering: The'entries'were: very ■■ large, and the events were interesting, 6everal cli)se finishes being recorded. During the afternoon, visitors vere: entertained at afternoon; tea, provided by" the bank .clerks.
