Owing to butchers being fully supplied prices receded from Is. to Is. Gd, per head all round. Old ewer and unfinished wethers wero practically unsaleable. Quotations;— Best .wethers, 15s. to 16s. Gd.; extra, 17s. 3d.; medium to good, 13s. to Ids. Gd.; light and unfinished, 10s. to 12s Gd.; best owes, 13s. Gd. to 14s. Gd.; extra, 15s. Gd.; medium to good, 10s. to 12s. Gd. Lambs: 1322 yarded. Another good yarding, but not quite equal to last week's. The limits of freezing buyers have been { reduced considerably, and there was consequently very littla competition, prices showing a further decline.. Quotationsßest lambs, 12s. Gd. to 135.; extra, 15s. 3d. j medium to good. 10s. to 12a. Cattle: 217 yarded, a large entry, composed principally of medium-quality stores and heifers. Prime bullocks sold at prices rulinglately, but for unfinished sorts there ,vas little demand. Quotations:—Best bullocks, .£8 to £9 10s.; mednun to good, £7 to £8; light and inferior, ,£6 to JE6 lfls.; best cows ami heifers, J5 to .£0 10s.; medium, ,£4 to .€1 10s. Pigs: 110 yarded, a fair yarding, and tho prices obtained being much the same as those of last week. Quotations:—Suckers, 10s. to 125.: slips, lis. to 195.; stores, 235. 'to 2Ss.; porkers, 355. to 405.: light baconers, 455. to 555.; heavy, 58s. to 60s.

Prices generally showed a still lower tendency. Store sheep, in consequence of continued dry weather, were in weaker deninml. Vnt lawlw were also less firm, and fat cattle, owing to heavy (supply, were easier. Tat wethers showed improvement, but ewes were still- further down. Baconers wero also down, but porkers were dearer, mid sterns were not quite so keen in demand. Store cattle were dull of Gale, but dairy cows were in demand. There was again a very large yarding of store sheen, the bulk brunt: lines from a distance. The demand was decidedly slnelc, elthough some of tho best lots of two-tooth end good-mouthed e«'os, whoso condition was rifrht, sold fair'v well up to expectations, and. end, towards f'e end of the snlc, showed a rise in price. The same apnlies to a few lots of forward lambs suiHilo for .rare. Travelstained ewes, low-cnndhioned lambs, and ah descrintions of wethers, met with dull and dragging sale, end nt tho commencement a few lots were passed.
