SHANNON H.R.G. MEETINC. TWINKLE "WINS A TREBLE. Tlio annual race meeting of tlio Shannon Hack Racing Club was liekl on the club's courso at Shannon yesterday, tine weather prevailed, but the counter attraction of a race meeting at Oroua Bridge alTccted the attendance, which was small. The club does not enjov the privilege of a totalisator permit, but it reaped about £30 income from the licensing of ton bookmakers, who conducted business on a limited scale. In a couple of events the fields were not large, but throughout the day the races wore more keciilv contested than at last year's fixture. Twinkle (Daystar—Nntator mare), who was by far the best-conditioned horse competing at tlio meetinr:, annexed three races, notwithstanding tlio fact that ho carried 171b. penalty in his third appearance.
