Cundy 41 21 9 71 The new 20-inch firebell ordered from A. and T. Burt by the Town Board has arrived here. It is cast of the best brass, and weighs about two hundredweight. The price is about £15, a proportion of which is being subscribed by tho public. The bell is to be placed on tho Town Hall site. At tho last meeting of the Town Board it was decided to remove the barbed wire from round the paddock at the police station. The wiro is put on the outside of tho posts and anyone walking near it, especially in the dark, is liable to receive damage to hands and apparel. The wire from this fence is to be used to repair the fences round tho Domain. The Fcatherston Gun Club held a successful shoot on Saturday. The first shoot was a twenty-bird match of two sweeps of ten birds each, being the second competition for Mr. M'Donald's stag's head. Results:— Hep.- First Second Yds. Sweep. Sweep. TI. G. Two sweeps were then shot off, the wjnners being T. O. Irving and T. Skippage.
