PALMERSTON SHOW EXHIBITS.

HOW THEY FARED IN LONDON. Mr. J. C. Lano, secretary of tho Mana» watu A. and P. Association, has received tho details rolativo •to tho carcosses of mutton shipped Homo after tho lato spring show for Una! judgment. These have been sent through Henry S. Fitter and Sons, London. In Class 259 (best five fat lambs, longwool or longwool crosses, most suitablo for freezing), tho judging in tho Palmerston pens was confirmed at Home. Air. F. S. M'Rao, who took first prize here, also secured first prizo at Home, tho report stating that tho sueep wero of nice quality and of useful size. Mr. J. Henson's lambs (second in tho Palmerston show) were also second at Homo, the report stating that they were of fair quality, but meaty. Messrs. Collis and Sons' lambs were third, and woro described as of middling quality, toct plain. In Class 2GO (five fat lambs, Down or Down crosses, most suitable for freezing <\nd tho London market), Mr. F. S. M'Rao's lambs were placed first, though only third in tho yards hero. Tho lambs were described as being of choice quality, short in the leg, and very meaty. Mr. G. E. Swainson's lambs, which woro highly commendcd at Palmerston, wero second in London, their description _ being " ehoieo quality, nice size, and well finished.'' Mr. J. Henson's lainbs (second in Palmerston) wero third at Homo. They wore referred to as being of very nice quality, and full of meat. Mr. G. E. Swainson's second pon of lainbs (not placed in tho pens at Palmerston) wero fourth in London, and were said to bo of very good quality, short legs, and full of meat. Messrs. Collis and Sons' lambs (first at Palmerston) were only fifth at Home. They woro referred to as of good quality, and very meaty. At Palmerston, the judgo (Mr. W. Richmond) said that the class was a very good ono of well-grown lambs.
