HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
Mr. R..C. Kirk presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Wellington Hospital Trustees yesterday morning, and Alessrs. J. W. Al'Ewan, G. London, Agmen Smith, C. Nash, and W. H. Hales were also present. The statement of receipts and expenditure;' February 22 to March 8, was as follows: —Receipts: Balance forward, £1695 lis. 3d.; rents, £186 16s. 2d.; out-patients, £18 18s.; Government subsidy, £427 16s. 0d."; in-patients, £108 10s. 2d.; contributions, 55.; sundries, £2 Is. Bd.; total, £2439 Is. Expenditure: Salaries (February), £558 Is. 4d:; wages, £168 12s. fid.; petty cash (February), £4 lis. 9d.; Rhodes Estate interest, £105 155.; Burgoyne, Burbidges, and Co., £28 13s. Bd.;' Public Trustee, £500; balance forward, £1073 6s. 10d.; total, £2349 Is. By. way of comparison with items in the above receipts it was reported that tho receipts from out-patients during the previous fortnight were £15, and for tho corresponding fortnight'of 1908, £15 3s. A similar statement- in regard to in-patients showed: Previous fortnight, £88 195.; 1903, £138 16s. 4d. Comparative figures on the expenditure side wero as follow: —Salaries: January, £500 12s. 5d.; 1908, £-183 lCs. -Id. WV'.es: Previous fortnight, £163 Is. lOd.; 1908, £1.4(5 2s. Gd. On tho recommendation of the llouso Committee, the resignations jif Nurse Ellis and Probationer Ford wero accepted. It was resolved to call for tenders for supplies of - meat, groceries, fish, tea, butter, aerated water, wines and spirits, and service of burials for one year from April 1, and for drapery for two years. . 'Minor improvements to the premises were authorised.
