ATHLETIC SPORTS.
(BT TELEGRAM—rBESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, March 8. At a meeting of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club held this evening it was decided to hold test races on Wednesday evening over 100 and 4<lo yards and ono mile for the purpose of selecting runners to represent the club at the New Zealand Championship meeting to bo hold at Dunodin on March 20. Sprint and long-distance representatives will bo chosen. Hill, the youth who won the Marathon race on Saturday, will probably represent the club in the long-distance races. Ho is being sent to the Wellington sports on Saturday to represent the Auckland Club. Tho majority of southern competitors in Saturday's race left for homo by this.evening's Main Trunk train.
