THE SOUNDS TRIP.
(BY TELEGRAM—SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) .-'■: Dunedin, March 8. The- Hon. -T. Mackenzie' and Captain M'Donald have agreed upon tho following itinerary for the Talune, sailing on April 8: — Proceed from Dunedin direct to Doubtful Sound, visiting Crooked Arm, Smith Sound, and Hall's Arm; from Doubtful Sound pass through Breaksca Sound, Acher's Passage, Wet Jacket Arm, and up Dusky Sound, anchoring in Supper Cove on Saturday night; from Supper Cove, Preservation Inlet will bo visited,' thence proceeding up Long Sound, leaving there for Dunedin direct and arriving hero oh Tuesday, April 13. A doctor will accompany tho steamer, and there will be a string band on hoard. This, considering the short time allowed for the trip, is believed to bo the very best route that could be mapped out, the desire being to let the passengers see as much as possible of the beautiful scenery of the West Coast and spend as little time at sea as can be arranged. Milford Sound will not, therefore, be visited, as the time that would be taken to steam that distance_ can bo spent to much better advantage in visiting the places mentoned.
