AT CARRINGTON ESTATE. - (BY. TELEOPAI'n—SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) Cartorton, March 5. A salo of the Carrington Estate horses was hold to-day at Taratahi saloyards by Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Thoro was a large attend-, anco from all parts of tho Wairarapa and surrounding districts. Practically all animals offered found purchasers, prices in most cases being in favour of the purchaser. Bidding at times was keen, while there wero other periods when tho desire to buy was not so evident. Tho following aro some of tho pricec:—Bay mare, £38; chestnut.gelding, £5 10s.; three-year filly by Quality Tom, £18 10s.; two-year filly by Desperando, £16; Garry Owen filly, £27; Quality Tom bay gelding, three years, £14 55.; Quality Tom filly, three years, £16; Saxon filly, yearling, £20: bay mare, 8 years, with foal by Laddie, nnd in foal to Taumata, £50; Belmont chestnut filly, unbroken, £5 10s.; grey filly by Bolmont, unbroken, £5 55.; colt by Paddy's Land, £11; two-j'ear Mauser filly, £5 Ss.; four-year brown maro by Paddy's Land, unbroken, £10 10s.; threo-year Paddy's Land filly, £13; another of same breeding and ac;o passed in at £11; Belmont filly, £5 7s. Gd.; Belmont celts, £4 2s. and £10; Garry Owen filly, £7; four-year bay mare by The Childo, £14 55.; the well-known hurdler, Hikurangi, passed in at £36; Paddy's Land gelding, 4 years, £15 55.; hunter, Sober Robin, £22; grey gelding Parihaka, £15 10s.; three-year Lethe gelding, £9 10s.; brown maro in foal to Bolmont, £7 7s. 6d.; marc with foal and in foal to Belmont, £5 155.; brood mare by IM» of Edinburgh, in foal to Belmont, £3 55.; aged brown mare, £5 55.; mare- in foal to Belmont and with foal at foot, £7; sixyear Saracon marc, £8 7s. 6d.; pair aged buggy ponies, £20; Bclmont fipy, two years, £15; Belmont colt, £3 55.; grey gelding, aged, £2 ss. The stallion Belmont, offered on behalf of Mr. A. Hooker, was passed in, no bid. The best of tho animals found purchasers from out of tho district. \
