■ The annual sports of' the Grocers' ; Assistants were held on-Newtown Park- yesterday-; afternoon, when a fairly large crowd witnessed the events. Dowling, ,15yds., 2; J. Blair, SOyds., 3. Won comfortably by.about 15 yards. ■ : 220 Yards Handicap.—l!.; Digbyy scr., E. Murphy, 10yds;, J. Richards, Byds„ dead heat- ; One Mile Wnlk-G. Xouni, 40yds..'; 1; M. Ford, scr., 2;'J.' M'Keown,'loyds; 3. This, race was ■ finished with about 3in. to spare, between first and second. : .. '- ■;■ :■ V ■ ■440 Yards Lynch, scr;, 1; J. Blair, 30yds., 2; J. Richards, 3yds., 3. A good sprint was put in by Lynch, who - won in easy stylo by 20yds. • Two Mile Bioyolo Race.—J. Dowling, SOyds., 1; J. Blair, 200 yds.,' 2; M. Ford, scr., 3. ■ The aggregate■for Kieller's silver cup and gold medal was again achieved by M. Ford, who won the cup for 1903. ■
