A NEW HOCKEY CLUB.
• About twenty young men met in. Armit s Booms last night to, form a new hockey club. Mr. F. M..8. Fisher, M.P., presided. The formal proposal forming ,the club, was made by Mr. C; H. Mills, and, seconded by Mr. Cook: Later the name of the club' was. fixed' asrthe Metropolitan, and the. uniform., was chosen. ' ,'■ • ,' , •., , ■Officers.for, the ensuing year w6re elected as foliow:—President, Mr. F. M. B. Fisher, M.P.; vice-presidents; Messrs. L. A. Ludwig, li. A. Wright" M.P., and H. C. Nioholls; secretary, Mr. Bi Marshall;: treasurer, Mr. K._M'Kenzie; : Management. Committee, Messrs. Gayford, Hendry,- Mills, Etching, Hunter, Wrigley, and Gendall; lion; auditor/Mr. W. Egglestone. The election of club, captain, delegates, and Selection Committee was left over till the next genoral meeting, to be held on March 10.
