SWIMMING CARNIVAL.
' !Thc Wellington Club's fourteenth annual carnival is to take place at To Arb Baths to-morrow afternoon. Tho committee of tho club.' has bewv working hard •to ensure tho success of the gathering, and have succeeded in inducing a large numbor of new swimmers to take the starting board.. The ar--rangombnts for carrying out the day's programme are in capable hands, and the waits between' events /which are sometimes corn.: plained of by spectators should be avoided entirely. A band will play selections during tho afternoon, and the carnival will terminate with a water polo match between teams picked from the Y.M.C.A and tho Wellington Clubs respectively.
