I OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION. The annual - report of tho Wellington College Old Boys' Association, to be presented; j . at tho annual meeting on. February 26, states v.that the finances of tho association, havefered to some extent-during, tho past year'j through losses incurred on the annual dinner j and two dances; the :credit. balance, as .shown.' j > by -the balance-sheet, being now £51 6s. Bd.; V of which £50 is on fixed deposit! ~ As recom-. / mended bv members at tho last annual meet- • ing, a further sum of £25 was placed on deposit during the year, making a total: of* £75, but it : was found. necessary'to after- . wards Tvithdraw £25. Tho number of active < • .members is now 819, thero being 620 ordinary members .arid '190 life members; - The annual i dinner was held ;at the. Empire ,Hotel .; oa i \ May, 18, advantage being taken of the.pcca- i. sion to celebrato the '.winning, of the : Senior, cricket championship. for . the second year iii 1 succession. ' The.function was better attended.. than usual, and a ' very ... enjoyable 1 evening-: 1 ' was spoilt. The; annual; ball was held at the > Svdney Street ..schoolroom on-June 17i„ and, ;': ' althqugh it resulted in a financial loss., proved vory successful otherwise. This present season; ,' ■ has been a most successful one: for' the as'so-;'. ciation from a • crioket point of view.
