A special-meeting of. the Oriental, Football Club was held .Armit's" Rooms last evening, Mr. W. ; Nim.mo presiding... Tho chairman intimated that the'object of the meeting was to discuss/way and.means for the erection of a' gymnasium,, and 'it :was stated. further that there"'was ,£72"in: hand to'the credit of'the gymnasium fund,.and another ,£6O-was under promise from supporters of the'club.- The general committee of the • club and the gymnasium committee were empowered to make tho necessary v financial arrangements,. . and to mortgage the club's intorest in its section •of land .at Hataitai and proceed mth thoerection of -a gyuinasium on the ■; section", "as early as possible.,.
