His /Excellency' Baid he .hoped to see a larger number of Australians wearing tho British naval uniform, not with the identical button, worn by the people, who walk about Portsmouth, but a uniform which would be regarded as the King's uniform, and that they would bo part of' the general defence forces : of tho Empire. He would liko to see absolute equality in all the services of tho Crown between all British citizens, wherever born. Ho did not believe wo would ever got. a complete idea of; Empire until that was accomplished.
