Augustine : Hall, today, M.E.. Comp. C. J. W. Griffitlis presiding: There were; present about fifty , grand officers, and companions, <■ Several' amenamehts , to- the-.-constitution were - agreed, to, including the granting,-of "right'excellent" to the", grand superintendent. • • • ' :-.

The amount to credit of the benevolent fund was stated.to be £191 Bs. 9d.; to credit of general account, £208 lis. 10d., with seven chapters which had not made returns. ; The operations of the' year had been very successful. The, total number of chapters was 24, and the - total - number of members was 1036 less, four not making returns) the estimated membership of which is 97,-.'making the' total membership. 1133. It was' decided to hold-next year's convocation at Dunedin. At the evening session the installation of the three grand principals - was. carried out with much effect, and was followed by the investure of thoso grand chapter officers who were present..'
